Unified forces screened at Mapel training centre

More than 2000 soldiers from the South Sudan people Defense forces and the Sudan People Liberation Army will be screened at Mapel Training Centre.

Maj.Gen.Lul Ruai Koang, the spokesman for South Sudan people Defense forces said the exercise will proceed as planned.

The Joint Screening and Reorganization Team arrived in Mapel on Thursday morning andimmediate;y embarked on the screening exercise.

There are representatives from DDR, Child Protect Department and Medical personnel,” Koang told Juba Echo by phone from Western Bahr El Ghazel.                                                  

He said the Joint screening and reorganisation of the Organized Forces at Maznar Beera in Wau,Western Bahr El Ghazal State was officially launched on Monday,

Koang said the exercise will be finalized after two weeks.
