Two dead in grisly accident on Juba-Nimule highway

At least two people have died in a fatal accident on Tuesday along the Juba-Nimule road, leaving five others nursing wounds.

Maj. Gen. Daniel Justine, police spokesperson said the incident happened at around 2:30 PM around Obama village.  

“A car which was over speeding overturned and as result two people were confirmed dead and five others sustained injuries,” Justine told Juba Echo in Juba.

He explained that the wounded have been taken to Nimule hospital for treatment, while investigations into the cause of the accident have commenced. 

Justine disclosed that vehicle bearing plate number SSD 738 was heading to Nimule when it overturned at Obama village leaving two unidentified passengers dead.

“There were seven passengers when the car which was over speeding over turned leaving two women dead and five others injured,” he said.
