President Kiir fires health minister

South Sudan’s president Salva Kiir has on Wednesday evening fired his health minister, Elizabeth Acuei and replaced her with Yolanda Awel Deng.
The health ministry docket is designated for the opposition group (SPLM-IO) headed by first vice president Riek Machar.
The decrees relieving Elizabeth Acuei and for appointing Yolanda Awel Deng were read on state owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) on Wednesday evening.
There were no reasons given for the dismissal of the former health minister, Elizabeth Acuei.
