Police celebrate by carrying their team boss up

South Sudan Journalists’ Football Club suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of their police counterparts on Wednesday.
The friendly football match was held at the Seminary Playgrounds in Rock city, Juba, at 9:00am Wednesday.
The match was organized by media partners to promote good working relationship between the scribes and the police.
“This is a good day for us journalists of South Sudan. We want to thank the organizers of this match. We are happy with our media and police teams. We want this match to be very friendly and peaceful,” UJOSS Vice President Ajak Ayak said in a statement during the opening of the match.
She said UJOSS will donate football jerseys for the media team.
“We UJOSS and other media stakeholders such as AMDISS, Female Journalists Network and all media houses will continue to support the Journalists Football Club,” Ajak said.
She called on the female journalists of South Sudan to form a football club for future football matches.
Ater also described both the journalists and the police football clubs as “patriotic”.
She thanked all media houses for participating in the match whose intention was to enhance the safety and protection of journalists in South Sudan.
