Mabior Garang apologizes to South Sudanese

Hon. Mabior Garang, the son of the fallen hero and founding father of South Sudan Garang De Mabior has apologized to the people of the country for any statements or utterances that he might have said on the media against the President of the republic His Excellency Salva Kiir Mayardit and the people.  He made the remarks this afternoon during a meeting with the President according to a statement from the office of the president.

Mabior Garang had recently shifted side from Machar’s SPLM-IO to the Kitgwang faction of Gen. Simon Gatwech in August.

“I am grateful for the invitation of the President to come back home. I ask to be forgiven for my utterances during my previous engagements. Therefore, I am going to join hands with the leadership and people of South Sudan to collectively seek ways of contributing to peace and stability for the nation”, said Mabior.  

The Meeting was attended by the minister of Presidential Affairs by Hon. Barnaba Marial Benjamin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs  and International Cooperation Hon. Deng Dau and the commander of the Presidential Guards Major General Luak Wek Guem.
